We’ll be hosting our sixth annual Pizza on the Pier Saturday, May 9th at Fornino Pier 6 (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

The event will feature 30+ of NYC’s top pizza makers who bake specialty pizzas available only at this event. The afternoon is split the day into three 90-minute sessions.
100% of ticket sales support our Pie it Forward project. This means that every dollar you spend on a ticket are used to buy pizza for hunger relief orgs like shelters & soup kitchens

PLANT-BASED OPTIONS AVAILABLE DURING SESSION II!
During Session II of the event, ALLpizza makers will have plant-based pies upon request! Meat and dairy options will also be available, but during this session, you can request a plant-based pie at ALL stations.
Pies made with GF dough were also available upon request with select pizzaioli throughout the event. However, since they will be made in the same ovens as the other pizza, they may not be suitable for those with Celiac or strong gluten sensitivities.
Look for 🌱 & G indicators in this year’s lineup to see who is offering pies for folks with dietary restrictions.
VOLUNTEER AT PIZZA ON THE PIER!
We’re looking for a crew of dedicated volunteers to help us out with the event! We’d love your help if you:
Are at least 18 years old
Have the ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 lbs.
Can commit to volunteering in Brooklyn Bridge Park from 10am - 7pm day-of
Can attend one of two volunteer onboarding sessions via Zoom (approx. 45 min.)

Pizzaioli during Session II with a 🌱 have plant-based pizza available UPON REQUEST!
Pizzaioli with a G can make pizza with gluten-free dough UPON REQUEST, but since the same ovens will be used for all pizzas, (may not be suitable for people with a strong gluten sensitivity/intolerance.)
This event features fresh pizza made on-site in Fiero Forni and Ooni ovens. Pizza makers work together — like a big culinary jam session. We rotate pizza makers throughout the event, serving a continuous variety of options for attendees.
The proceeds from this event will benefit our hunger-relief projects, most notably our ongoing Pie it Forward project.

Absolutely! Not only can you fulfil your own pizza dreams by purchasing tickets for back-to-back sessions, since 100% of the ticket proceeds benefits our Pie it Forward program, you’re helping others’ pizza dreams come true.

Yes! Kids 5 & under eat free (so no tickets are required) and tickets for kids 12 & under our discounted. For the latter, just select a kid’s ticket at checkout. The event is also pet friendly (and you don’t need a ticket for your furry friend; just a leash or carrier!)

Coke will be providing free soft drinks for all event guests (not to mention keeping our pizza makers and volunteers hydrated!) Alcoholic beverages may be purchased inside Fornino and brought into the event area.

This is a rain or shine event! While May does tend to be one of the nicest months in the city, we have occasionally run into some showers. Except under extreme weather conditions, we will be there (even if we need to put up ALL of the patio umbrellas!)
