GET INVOLVED

WANT TO DO #PIZZA4GOOD, BUT NOT SURE HOW?

We are always looking for fellow pizza-lovers who want to do #Pizza4Good and there are lots of ways to get involved for anyone in our pizza community whether you’re a:

  • Pizza fan

  • Pizzeria owner

  • Home pizza maker

  • Business w/ a team of pizza-lovers

PIZZA FANS

Virtual & Live Volunteer Opportunities

We always need virtual volunteers for our ongoing Pie it Forward project and often for live events as well! Check out our event calendar for all of our events & appearances with confirmed dates and our volunteer page for more info about all of our volunteer opportunities!

Attend an Event

100% of ticket sales for all of our in-person events go towards our Pie it Forward project. This means any time you show up to a Slice Out Hunger event, you’re doing #Pizza4Good just by eating pizza! Currently we host 3 events annually:

We also work with other pizza event hosts across the country who donate a portion of the event proceeds towards our hunger relief efforts. See what’s coming up in a city near you on our event calendar and follow us @sliceouthunger for updates!

Make a Dough-Nation

As a small nonprofit, we can always use any financial support you’re able to provide. We accept donations year-round towards our Pie it Forward and General funds and often have time-sensitive initiatives running as well (like our Pizza Relief activations in the wake of disasters!)

Making a donation towards one of our programs such as Pie it Forward means that 100% of the funds that you donate is used to buy pizza for hunger relief organizations like shelters & soup kitchens. If you opt to donate toward our General fund, you’ll help to cover our operating costs and help us keep the proverbial pizza ovens warm!

PIZZERIA OWNERS

Pizzeria owners form a HUGE part of our pizza community. The best way to stay in the loop about all of our upcoming projects with pizzerias is to become a Pizza Partner. This way you can let us know that you are committed to doing #Pizza4Good by pledging to donate & deliver 30 pies or $300 towards any hunger relief organization annually. This can be done through our projects like:

  • Pizza Across America (National Pizza Day 2/9)

  • Sponsoring a Pie it Forward delivery (year-round)

  • Raising funds for our disaster relief initiative, Pizza Relief (campaigns announced during US-based disasters)

  • Your own independent efforts towards local hunger relief

HOME PIZZA MAKERS

Building a strong community of people who make pizza at home has always been a priority for us! If you make pizza at home in ANY capacity, whether that’s as a pizza enthusiast who is just getting started hosting a pizza night with friends or semi-professional who pops up at local parks or breweries, we have ways that you can do #Pizza4Good! Stay looped in on how you can fight food insecurity through pizza by becoming a Pizza Partner and pledging to donate 15 pies or $150 towards any hunger relief organization annually. This can be done through our projects like:

  • Summer Slice-a-Thon (July - September)

  • Raising funds for our disaster relief initiative, Pizza Relief (campaigns announced during US-based disasters)

  • Your own independent efforts towards local hunger relief

PIZZA-LOVING BUSINESSES

If pizza and making the world a better place are top of mind for your team members, we’d love to do #Pizza4Good with you! We work with Corporate Partners in a variety of ways and are always looking to explore new relationships. Some of the ways that businesses can make an impact are:

  • Sponsoring a series of Pie it Forward deliveries

  • Covering operational costs so we can maximize our #Pizza4Good

  • Hosting an office pizza party to crowdfund for pizza deliveries

  • Funding event costs so 100% of ticket sales directly support our hunger relief initiatives

  • Contributing to our Pizza Relief campaigns in the wake of natural disasters
